PostHeaderIcon Shamcey Supsup’s answer in the Q & A portion is not bad at all. What do you think?

There are lots  of topic to blog about the recently concluded Miss universe but  my attention was caught on the question and answer portion.  I   read from facebook and twitter that if not of his answer, she should have won the title.

During the pageant’s question and answer portion, judge Vivica A. Fox asked Supsup the question:“Would you change your religious beliefs to marry the person that you love? Why or why not?”

Shamcey  replied, “If I had to change my religious beliefs, I would not marry the person that I love because the first person I love is God, who created me. I have my faith and my principles, and this is what makes me who I am. And if that person loves me, he should love my God, too.

For me.. IT WAS NOT SUCH A BAD ANSWER. I guess she was just honest  to stood up for what he believe. For how can a person love her if he can not love the God that she  believed and worship?

I searched online on her raking and found the following facts :

” Supsup topped the online fan ranking during the Miss Universe question and answer portion. She placed second in the online ranking for the evening gown competition .

PostHeaderIcon My Son and His Razor

I can relate to what’s happening to my son now. He’s a teenager in Junior high and starting to grow beard and once asked me to shave it. I discouraged him knowing that’s it not that easy to maintain a clean look and shave 3x a week. I am not saying that having a beard is bad but at his age now it’s too early for him to shave. I regretted the day on my 3rd year high school when I shaved my beard. After a week, it started to grow back again but with a larger beard strands and I have to shave again and again until I have razor bumps.

Being a cadet officer in high school and in college, I have to maintain a clean look so that it really annoys me when I noticed my beard growing back but thicker this time. That’s what I told my son and discouraged him not to shave this early. I guess there are fathers out there who also told their sons what I did . Well, maybe at the proper age, say 18 he can shave his beard if he wants.I guess I am seeing myself again with my son’s image. Like father like son.

PostHeaderIcon Surviving Bankruptcy

There is always hope for those who never gives up on hope. What happened to us as a family and the ordeal we went through after my dad spent a year in the hospital and we nearly went bankrupt made us more determined to never give up and trust God totally to see us through. From the rubbish of financial crunch, our family was able to slowly stand up and gain financial confidence as we engaged back to our furniture business. With friends and relatives helping us, our family’s financial capability went stable. But it was a learning time for all of us. We can never fully trust financial stability only to survive in this life. We must be strong in our faith to God and His promises to us.

Looking back at the time of great financial need of our family, how fortunate are the people today to have financial advisers and lawyers taking care and helping them manage their debts. Back then, my mom only relied on guts and risky decision to sell our properties to pay for the mounting hospital bills of my dad. My sister who’s working in northern California, USA was affected with the recent financial crisis that nation went through. The Northern California bankruptcy attorneys really did a great job in assisting her with managing and elimination all her debts. She’s so thankful that in time of financial crunch, she could rely on professional men to assist and help her to be debt free.
